Senioritis

So bored within a scheduled life,
full dullness penetrates her eyes.
Stagnancy keeps thrills in a cage,
simmers slowly to fuel up rage.

Another day, another class,
stare at the clock, watch seconds pass.
So tired with words teachers say,
detest their lectures everyday.

Another seat, another rule,
stare into space an aimless fool.
Only escape, a window view,
that hold the key to what is true.

Another quiz, another test,
a different night filled with unrest.
Anxiety knocks on her door,
ambitions never meet the score.

Another thought, another hope,
a change of pace to help her cope.
Future so bright, lights up her mind,
a new outlook, one of a kind.

Sweet daydreams show how time will be,
positive angles set her free.
A hidden smile exposes joy,
learns happiness is her own choice.
