Tomorrow’s Promise

Sunlight gently spills
Hope sways in the silent breeze
Smiles hug the future

I am so delighted to announce that five of my Haiku poems have been selected for the upcoming Literary Revelations PublicationTranquility: An Anthology of Haiku (coming in the second part of April). This is the third time that I have had the honor of working with Gabriela. My poems were featured in #1 Amazon Bestseller – Wounds I Healed: The Poetry of Strong Women and also #1 Amazon best seller Hidden in Childhood: A Poetry Anthology. Thank you to the editor, Gabriela Marie Milton, for her wonderful support and consideration.

Cover art by Hikari and the fine art photography included in the book by Naoki Kimura.

ON THE BACK OF THE COVER

On the back cover written by Gabriela Marie Milton:

Following the overwhelming success of “Petals of Haiku,” which captured hearts and souls and became an Amazon bestseller, Literary Revelations Publishing House brings you “Tranquility: An Anthology of Haiku.” This new anthology will enchant readers with its delicate imagery and transitory moments, which inscribe themselves in eternity. Featuring nearly 260 talented authors, each bringing their talent and unique perspectives, Tranquility invites you to immerse yourself in a world where night flowers bloom and whispers linger in the spring air. Poets are prophets linked to nature. Haiku is their language.

Congratulations to all of the wonderful authors whose work will be showcased in this amazing anthology!

Peaceful Whispers

Calm waters stretch like glass below,
serenely flows where breezes go.
Reflections dance in soft disguise,
beneath the rainbow-painted skies.

A hush lies deep on waters wide,
so still they hold the evening’s pride.
The surface shimmers in delight,
a mirror catching fading night.

Tall single tree stands proud yet shy,
stretches all limbs, to sway up high,
against the sky, where colors stream,
a rainbow born from twilight’s dream.

Soft colors blend pink, gold, and blue,
a canvas brushed with evening hues.
Rose, indigo, and amber weave,
a view too lovely to believe.

Beyond, the mountains cast their shade,
as silent choirs serenade.
Strong shadows stretch, serene and long,
echoes whisper wise ancient songs.

Within this space, the world stands still,
no sound but wind, no thought but will.
A place where time and spirit meet,
a peaceful bite, tasty and sweet.

Picnic Time

Barbie’s blanket, calm and still,
flips magazine, day dreams fill.
Lost in a world, wonders seen,
peaceful vibes feels so serene.

Ken stands nearby, smiles so bright,
McDonald’s bag , brings delight.
Warm scented fries fill the air,
plastic thoughts drift without care.

Pizza box, opened half wide,
cheesy goodness, yummy ride.
Lush lawn stretches, vibrantly green,
highlight this beautiful scene.

Symphonies whisper through leaves,
dancing trees sway with the breeze.
Bask in sun with skies so blue,
picnic in a world so true.

Handful (Published at Spillwords)

A family is like a hand,
silent oaths form a solid band.
Rare roles print on every finger,
bad times fade while love still lingers.

Index leads as wise as can be,
points out fears so all eyes can see,
flaps around if plans go astray,
connects with thumb to say “okay.”

Thumb is strong, always goes the length,
assists with grip to show off strength,
comforts infants, rests in their mouth,
silences cries, erases pouts.

Pinky is young, runt of the pups,
helps gain control, while holding cups.
A gambler, loves to take quick bets,
entwined until all stakes are set.

Spunky middle, hard to control,
rebel by nature stands alone,
rude to many, funny to some,
kisses a thumb, snaps just for fun.

Charming ring finger holds beauty,
gains attention with jewelry,
committal pledge, gives it her all,
honored with gems, always stands tall.

Strong linked home, divine love provides,
abundant care, comes from all sides.
Negative out, positive stands,
comfort in the palm of each hand.

Let today peak, let hopes rise,
no walls to halt, reach for the skies.
Break old chains that bind the soul,
beyond all limits, let dreams flow.

Transcend through doubts, fears, worn strife,
unleash powers hidden in life.
Inner locks, open a door,
unlock your spirit, let it soar.

Own intentions, claim your light,
then chase true joy til it burns bright.
Hold the gift to mold and shape,
bend this world, create your escape.

Earth is vast, horizons wide,
embrace the winds, let spirit guide.
Let zest spike, in every way,
take this moment to seize the day.

Take a Break

Tall tree so vast, it hugs the sky,
with branches that stretch low and high,
like arms that reach a higher place,
to touch the clouds then slow their pace.

Up high, a boy finds rest and peace,
a comfy branch offers release.
Strong trunk beneath, so firm and grand,
supports him high above the land.

Its roots a story, deep and old,
whispers the secrets nature holds.
In every curve, a silent song,
of time that moves, each day along.

Young man lies still, where daylight falls,
with dancing leaves great wisdom sprawls,
as his mind rests his spirit leaps,
above the world, half way to sleep.

Eyes semi-closed, he dreams away,
lush forrest hums as hours’ sway,
although the man is far from ground,
he feels pure love deeply profound.

Beautiful fortress made of wood,
where jaded souls capture their good,
a place where earth and sky entwine,
and life slows down, simply divine.

Fall Behind

Left behind heavy despair,
cast aside lingering care.
Underneath yesterday’s cry,
problems leave to pass me by.

Like a ghost, so faint and cold,
release firm cemented hold.
Chains that bound my spirit tight,
fall away, dissolve at night.

Endlessly, my soul takes flight,
infinitely soars so bright.
Nothing binds, no fear to hold,
new paths lets future unfold.

Open arms to greet the dawn,
embrace paths that stretch beyond.
Steps propel towards the vast,
journey on so free at last.

Living Statue

Dear figurine, always bright,
sits on rails, absorbs day light.
Eyes of stone, beam far away,
blankly stares, thoughts seem to stray.

Mustache and beard, set with grace,
face is carved from time’s embrace.
Curls of hair take a proud stand,
caught in winds from distant lands.

Bridges sway, world spins along,
silence stands where dreams belong.
Inner clocks always recall,
memories that swiftly fall.

Knowledge in his wistful gaze,
hears stories that pass each day.
Motionless he leads life’s race,
endless moments, don’t erase.
