Ruby (Published at Spillwords)

A little girl got her first shoes,
opened the bag but felt confused.
She wished for ones like her mother’s,
but got ones worn by her brother.

Tough little girl as strong as nails,
had a strong will and dreams that scaled.
she often played outside with kids,
but could not run since her shoes slid.

This little girl, she had no clue,
her innocence hid what was true,
she lived within a paradigm,
people in need were seen as grime.

The little girl became so wise,
took every chance, studied design,
she grew up strong created plans,
to help herself and give a hand.

Bright little girl worked hard to share,
inside she always seemed to care.
Built charities at her own cost,
contributed silent support.

That little girl grew up concerned,
promised herself she would return.
Providing shoes, one of her deeds,
so kids could run, hope, and exceed.

Hiatus

Good bye to yesterday,
today meets brighter ways,
serendipity sways,
embrace joy so it stays.

Trust fate, truly believe,
open up, then receive,
wishes that hearts conceive,
become all goals achieved.

Blink away stagnant views,
deep day dreams can come true,
colors absorb gray hues,
positive thoughts pursue.

Destiny settles scores,
good fortune opens doors,
let faith guide towards more,
bright light shines deep in core.

Time clears off stagnant blocks,
opportunity knocks,
through surprise and sheer shock,
watch as pure luck unlocks.

All “starts” follow an “end”,
miracles soon extend,
pleasant blessings transcend,
past what minds comprehend.

Hello friends, when wonderful opportunities come knocking on my door, I do not hesitate to open. I will be on hiatus for a couple of weeks but will do my very best to keep up with your blogs. Keep faith alive, miracles do happen. 💕💕💕

Never too late

Shells of what I thought would be,
reflections stare back at me.
Challenging what my eyes see,
all encaged thoughts are set free.

My blood flows like windy seas,
pressure of a narrow stream.
Present times erase all dreams,
all hopes choke on haunting screams.

Tomorrow goals swiftly flee,
too tired to turn the key.
Future has no guarantee,
today holds what minds foresee.

Tiny shivers igniting glee,
paving every step that leads.
Mirrored paths plant hopeful seeds,
sense of pride produce sweat beads.

Echoed smiles provides great peace,
happiness flows with warm ease.
Sitting still like a wise tree,
watch time travel in the breeze.

Chances arrive suddenly,
each year bring joy jubilees.
Hopeful daydreams buzz like bees,
paint bright possibilities.

Warm Embrace

High on a tree,
floats with the sea,
cool mountain breeze,
flies ever free.

Walks throughout town,
dances around,
erases frowns,
lifts fallen crown.

Summertime hues,
create clear views,
pure hopes run through,
wishes comes true.

Divine in all,
golden light sprawls,
hear inner call,
blessings befall.

Prompt – Summertime Hues

Getaway

Leaps follow glance,
free will acts smart.
Leap towards chance,
follow full heart.
Leap with a dance,
form a new start.
Leaps shake off trance,
sorrows depart.

Embrace being,
all that will be.
Embrace feeling,
spirit flies free.
Embrace meeting,
true self with glee.
Embrace healing,
the world eyes see.

Beautiful place,
stands high on stilts.
Beautiful space,
warm as soft quilts.
Beautiful pace,
peace never tilts.
Beautiful grace,
reflective gilts.

Time to forget,
throw past away.
Time to reset,
find better ways.
Time to offset,
old darker days.
Time to accept,
golden sun rays.

Infinite Dad

Protective teacher, greatest friend,
infinite bond without an end.
Before each fall your hand extends.
My wrongs and rights you would defend.

With just one look, into my eyes,
you knew all truths I tried to hide.
Always candid, laughed at my lies,
so many fights that made you sigh.

A mix of strength and affection
taught me great faith with direction.
You made life safe, gave protection,
an ultimate mute connection.

Your heart my home with open doors,
festive embrace that I adored,
sincerest love felt at my core,
stories you told made me want more.

Walked by my side showed me you cared,
gave me advice, wisdom you shared,
ignited light made sure I dared,
then you were gone, I felt so scared.

Now you are free from any pain,
I celebrate memories gained,
your body is gone, essence remains,
nothing can break our strong linked chain.
