Ocean

The ocean breeze
tousles my hair,
but brings me ease,
so I don’t care.
Walking on sand,
sway with the waves,
seashells in hand,
feel what I crave.
I wet my feet,
so cool and mild,
such a great treat,
savor my smile.
Misty sprinkles
jump on my head,
as stars twinkle
and slowly spread.
Whispering winds
chant messages,
feel touched within
find passages.
Wondering soul
is purified,
a massive hole,
now satisfied.

  1. Ahh, this is sublime verse, Grace. You’ve transported me back to my recent trip to the coast. Thank you for that. I love this poem. ❤️❤️❤️

  2. Gorgeous words–I don’t even know where to begin. These really stand out:

    “Misty sprinkles
    jump on my head,
    as stars twinkle
    and slowly spread.
    Whispering winds
    chant messages,
    feel touched within
    find passages…”

You’ve brought back some wonderful memories of my time along the Oregon Coast (aka Heaven). I miss the ocean dearly, but you’ve given me some brisk breezes, sand and salt spray today, Grace, and I appreciate it! So good! 🙂

  3. Ah, this is so magical and dreamy! Going along with this I wanted to be there. There’s such incredible appeal in your words. Beautiful, Grace ❤❤
