Bellydancer

Mesmerize
with every beat,
music moves

down naked feet,
rises up

to then repeat,
Bellydance

feeling complete.

Sway my hips

from side to side,
exposing

thoughts kept inside.
Pretty veils,

expressive eyes,
feeling free,

no need to hide.

Thrilling sparks

flow through snake arms,
revealing

distinctive charm.
Hypnotize

to then disarm,
silently

without alarm.

Shimmy fast

then lift and drop.
Chest circles

and belly pops.
Always dance
,
no need to stop.
keeping joys
,
listed on top.

  1. Nice poem, my friend!!! The rhyming is flawless, as always! I like the phrase β€œnaked feet”…that’s well said. Amazingly done, dear Grace! You never fail to write with such grace πŸ–€πŸ€—πŸ˜‰

  2. I love the rhythm in this and it sounded great. You’ve nailed the rhyming. I loved this in particular

  3. Dance is said to be language of the soul, and belly dance is the soul churning. A very beautiful piece on an unusual subject. Well pennedπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ’
