Crash

When ocean waves
speak with the breeze,
they sing their words

while dancing free.

Breeze leads the wave

on floors of sand,
the deepest dip

forces command.

Waves full of love

slip just to crash.
Entangling moves

that form a splash.

All day and night
an endless show,
swaying to tunes,
as the wind blows.

Pleasant to watch,
seated offshore.
Always sublime
longing for more.

  1. This is so so beautiful!!!! That first stanza is literally perfection!!!! I absolutely love the imagery here, it takes me to the waves and beyond!!!! Your pieces just get better and better, my friend! I’m running out of words to describe what a comfort your work is to me!!!! Keep shining and inspiring πŸ–€πŸ€—πŸ’–

  2. Love the third stanza. So much. LOL. The end of the waves has always piqued my interest–from its full strength to crashing to entanglement to splash to foams.

  3. I am charmed by the format and rhyme scheme you’ve worked so brilliantly here – how cleverly wave-like. I also see what appears to be distance caught on the stanzas, from the deeper waters to you on the seaside, yearning for movement while rooted in place. Lovely, lovely stuff.
